Gps forms an integral part of Aadhaar ecosystem it is mandatory to take gps everday before preceeding enrollment for that day.
Gps values means all the three vlaues- lattitude, longitude and altitude needs to be updated daily and that is why we see three lights in UIDAI recommeded UGR 86 GPS device.
After logging in Aadhaar software using Iris and OTP this is the very first window we encounter stating GPS coordinates not taken from so many days.
We click on go to gps page and wait for gps value to be updated .usually it takes less than 2 minutes for gps coordinates to be updated beofre we start doing the enrollments but sometimes it may take longer than usual and this causes delay.
This delay in getting the gps value is due to some updation in the system.gps black box radium device will show green light and will turns into red once the gps values are fetched.
For above mentioned gps device geolocation service can be restarted but it is not necessary that every device will need any service to be stopped or restarted.
Make sure gps is properly connected with the laptop through a good quality cable.sometimes restarting the whole system fetches the gps value at a relative ease.
